White “Côte de Champtin”
This gold yellow colored wine has a powerful bouquet with aromas exotic fruits (pineapple, mango …). It is very long and ample in mouth and it ends with touches of hazelnut.
Appellation / Grape variety : Sancerre / 100% Sauvignon
Nature of the ground : Terres Blanches.
Average age of vines : 40 years old
Wine making : Handly picked in our oldest vines, the harvest doesn't exceed 40 hl/ha. The crop, very concentrated, ferments in 400 liters barrels. To obtain more complex and fat wines we stir of the lees in the barrels (“bâtonnage”). This wine are ageing for a whole year.
Harmony with dishes : foie gras, fishes in sauce, white meats.
Total production : 2 400 bottles.
